The WebApps I linked to are mostly free. You do not need the Ipod Touch upgrade to use them. The upgrade only comes in handy when you have an Internet connection, except for the Note Pad. I really like that and perhaps that it may be worth the $20. I had been placing my notes in my contacts folder, so this is easier for me. However there is no "cut and paste" yet. Perhaps it is coming. For now you must type on the iPod keypad to enter whatever into your Note Pad.

I had little trouble downloading the upgrade. There were a few glitches, but it eventually did download. You can see the charge for it if you log into your account from iTunes at the iTunes store. It is $19.99 under "Purchase History."

I bought the upgrade and it never transfered to my iPod. What should I do? If I push buy again I will be charged again and the I will have paid $40 dollars. I have read up on it and it wont say that you have already bought it, unlike iTunes.

What I want is not wi-fi all the time, but the ability to store documents on my iPod Touch. I can store photos, music and audio files, but not text files. I think it must be on the way.

I think you will need to buy the iPhone if you want to be independent of wi-fi.
